This video is unlisted and will only appear on my blog, not my Youtube channel (to clear up any confusion).

Reason being: I don’t want to congest my channel with uber-long haulage. On that topic, this video is UBER long! I’ve added a brief index below in case you’re a busy bee and want to skip forward. I did mean to film a drugstore haul but I think I’ve talked enough for 2014, let me know if you’d be interested in that too 🙂

  1. I am beyond jealous about your Rouge Terrybly collection! I had one and caved on another, and it’s all I can do not to buy every color! I’d love a video/blog post of you working with the Ombre Blackstar pencils. I bought the Velvet Orchid and it was so muddy, I returned it. (I adore purple eyeshadow, but I wasn’t seeing any orchid tones.) I have also heard of the Koh Gen Do water, so I’d love to hear what you think!

I’m traveling overseas in April, and now I’ll be on the lookout for the Le Blanc de Chanel! πŸ˜€

Sorry again my city was so inhospitable weather wise! Next time you’re over (cause it’s just a hop, skip, and a jump, right? ha), I’d love to meet up!

    Shani x

    1. Ooh which Rouge Terrybly’s do you own? And I’ll try to use the Velvet Orchid in a look- I think it might help to layer eyeshadows over it to bring out the purple nuances.
I will absolutely be returning back to New York (adored the city) and we will definitely catch up πŸ™‚
      xxkarima

  2. Definitely want to see the Hourglass Stylos. I keep eying them every time I go to Sephora but I’m curious how they’ll work with my more pigmented lips. And I keep looking at both of those brow pencils. I’m about to run out of my uber trusted MUFE Aqua Brow in shade 35- the perfect ashy gray color- that I bought over a year ago in Las Vegas. I can’t seem to buy it elsewhere from known vendors so I need something new and accessible. tl;dr compare the brow pencils possibly?

    1. Hey Jessica πŸ™‚
I also have pigmented lips and the Lip Stylos look nice, but require a little patting/finessing after application to melt it into my natural colour. I wouldn’t call Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Ash a ‘grey’ colour (sadly) but it doesn’t pull warm/reddish on me. x

  3. Love NYC for beauty shopping! Can’t wait to hear what you think about the P50, especially the difference between the original and the phenol-free.

    1. So far, I can already tell you that the Phenol version STINKS SO BAD and the reformulated version has very little smell at all. The ingredients lists are also very different (Phenol has <10 ingredients while Phenol-free has 30 ingredients). Will report back. x

  4. I watched the whole thing! Can’t wait for your Naked 3 tutorial. I am also interested in seeing what you think of the HG Ambient powders. I got the palette with Dim, Radiant, and Incandescent and loooove them and now I’m drooling waiting for the new blushes to come out.

  5. Hello, Karimma!

IΒ΄m a subscriber/reader from Brazil and I think youΒ΄re so gorgeous! I want to read/hear about the By Terry foundation.

    Kisses!

  6. Would love to see the benefit gimme brow in action, I bought this one in sephora as well, and I couldn’t figure out how to use it properly as not to make my brow look too thick and dark. Also the hourglass stylos would be quite interesting to see as well~

    1. Hey Cecilia, what shade of Gimme Brow did you buy? Light/medium is pretty fair so unless you’re a very light blonde, I think it’s hard to overdo. x

  7. Hi Karima! I love your blog.

I was wondering if you knew where I could buy Oribe in Sydney. I have been looking for ages but can’t seem to locate it.

I would also love to see a drugstore haul.

    Annaliese xx

  8. So many amazing products!! I love the Hourglass powders – I believe the negative reviews come from people who are using them incorrectly. I would love to know where you purchased the P50? Can not wait to see your reviews of the products.

  9. You were in Korea! Was it just the airport or did you get to stay for a bit?
I can’t believe you met Josh, he is one of my fav youtubers. I went to painstaking efforts to get the ambient lighting powder after his video (diffused light) and it has changed my life. Really gives that fuzzy, glowy looking skin
I am a big fan of long videos and would love to see your drug store haulage!

  10. Hi Karima! I just can’t wait for your reviews on the Tom Ford brushes! Also, please where did you buy the P50 lotions? For some mysterious reasons, even though the brand is French, I cannot find it in France unless I go to Paris! :-/ Strange, huh? Anyway, love your videos and personality! xx

  11. That was some haul!
Sorta surprised you didn’t pick up anything Chantecaille πŸ™‚
What is P50? Very curious about that thing…

  12. *sobs of happy* i’m so glad we got to finally meet, and i miss you so much already. it truly was like catching up with an old best friend. your haul is FANTASTIC πŸ™‚ <3

  13. Great video. Would love to see by terry in future videos, esp the cream eyeshadows. Do you think the staying power is strong enough for hooded eyes?

  14. AHHHHHH finally! Have been waiting for this post+video!
Really can’t wait to see the NAKED3 tutorial!
And maybe a Le Blanc de chanel comparison post? (comparing with the Burberry fresh glow might be fun?)
By Terry Rouge Terrybly lipsticks…..ah I NEED to try it some-time.
HG ambient powders are nice, I got their Ambient Lighting Palette (the one with 3 shades) and they are quite amazing (though I must admit I still uses the Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder in Candlelight very very often……)
Yea….MAC is solo much cheaper in USA/Canada compare to AUS!!!

I’m going back to Asia (HK, South Korea and maybe Japan) end of April for 2 weeks (wayyy to little time to fit in busy shopping schedules though maybe a good thing for my wallet) lol
Planning to visit Tom Ford, Koh Gen Do, Suqqu/Three/Addiction (if in Japan)…and get my friend in Canada (who will also be in HK that time to grab a few things from MAC Canada for me)…..starting a list already….

  15. That was great fun to watch. As an American, I always love to see what people buy when they come here, and what products they get excited about that they can’t get back home, or that they can get for considerably less money here…so I would love to see the drugstore haul! πŸ™‚

  16. Fantastic video- you had me laughing out loud with your description of your static hair encounters πŸ™‚
I would love to see your review of the Bite Beauty lip primer. My lips are never in proper condition either, and it severely limits my lipstick options!

  17. Hi Karimma

What an amazing haul. I had my pen and paper ready to jot down what I would consider getting. Surprisingly for me I already have a good few of your purchases. I will be getting the Nuxe lip balm but would love to see more of By Terry. I am going to watch again just to make sure I didn’t miss anything lol

  18. Brilliant haul! Please review the BT – particularly denisliss – personally it clung to my flakies and for Β£80 GBP I want more!

  19. I couldn’t figure out how to reply to your reply, so I had to comment again to answer. (It’s been a long day.)

I also have Carnal Attraction (I’m addicted to purple/plums) and also 201 Terrific Rouge. I’ve been doing a “search for the perfect red” and this one is so up there. I actually did layer a shadow over it to bring the purple out, and it was still really dark, surprisingly considering the gorgeous color in the tube! And I have Cover-Expert foundation and love it, so I’ll be curious to see how you like the other one.

I just ordered the P50 today and now really want the SUQQU Brow Pen (I mean, chocolate!). So, thanks for that. πŸ˜‰

And glad to hear you’ll be back! That would be so lovely! Hopefully you won’t come next time when we resemble the Arctic Circle!

    Shani xx

    1. Hmm the reply should be intuitive, I’ll look into changing that!
Carnal Attraction is gorgeous; strangely it swatches streaky but looks great on the lips. I gave Terrific Rouge a miss because I’m wary of collecting identical red lipsticks but you have me second guessing myself! Cover Expert is rather dewy, no? Densiliss is definitely on the matte side.
Which P50 did you order? 1970? reformulated version?
      xxkarima

    2. I see that I can reply to myself, but not to you. So I’ll just look a bit narcissistic. πŸ˜‰

Terrific Rouge may look like other reds, but it’s so gorgeous and wears so well, I don’t even care. I’m wearing it here https://instagram.com/p/jJ-yhEn14d/ but it’s on my calendar to get better photos next week.

I have oily/combination skin, and with powder, the Cover-Expert wears beautifully. Not paper dry matte, but not dewy, either. Just…normal. Like my skin. Which is nice. But now I’m so curious about the Densiliss and if it’s better for my skin… So I guess you’re returning the favor for the Terrific Rouge. πŸ˜‰

I got the regular P50 with Phenol. I can’t wait till it comes and I can stink up the place!

      1. GAH that looks like an amazing shade. I’ll keep it on my ‘to try list’. The phenol smells SO BAD lol. I have a waste bin next to my vanity and the smell radiates from the cotton pads there… the whole house smells like phenol. You’ve been warned πŸ˜‰ x

      1. GAWD that looks amazing on you! Such a striking contrast against your lovely pale skin (jealous, can’t maintain that in Australia). How are you liking the Bite Line and Define primer? I’m still on the fence. x

    3. I’ve actually just repurchased the Bite Line and Define Primer. I’ve been using it since last year. In my head it makes a difference? πŸ™‚ I wonder if there’s something better. I tried MAC Prep and Prime and found the Bite to be superior, but I’m sure there are plenty of other options out there. x

    4. Oh, and my “lovely pale skin” always inspired people and makeup artists to tell me to use bronzer, so maybe it doesn’t look so good. πŸ˜‰

  20. My dear Karima: this is what I call a HUGE haul!!! If you finished with a pic of everything it would have been orgasmic!!! Lol I really need to see tutorials on By Terry stuff, since it’s something not available where I live, and I always tend to buy stuff I can’t buy home when I travel abroad. I also want to hear your opinion and FOTDs with Naked 3, since I’m really loving it myself.

    1. Oh Anne, I don’t think I could have fit all the purchases in one frame! The Naked 3 post will be up soon and definitely working on creating looks with the By Terry, that stuff is just gorgeous- amazing quality. xx

  21. Loved the video Karima. I have been using the hourglass veil primer for quite some time now and I think it’s magical but you have definitely evoked my curiosity to try the chanel le blanc de chanel base πŸ™‚ thanks Xx

    1. If you prefer luminosity to you base, definitely check out Le Blanc De Chanel. I normally don’t like mixing luminisers with my foundation because I feel like it can look greasy but Le Blanc is perfection! x

  22. Hi Karima –

First of all – your videos are so funny!

I am sooo jealous of your By Terry lip collection. I have one tube which I pet and send love letters to.

Also, P50 is the best thing I have ever ever ever ever done for my skin ever. My skin now looks better than it did when I was in my 20’s. No lie. (I’m 43) I switched to P50W for the winter and that was an excellent decision. Much gentler in the dry winter months and still lovely skin. YAY!

    Thanks for a fun video!
    SJ

    1. Aw glad you liked it πŸ™‚
Which By Terry Lipstick do you own? They’re amazinggg. The more I use P50, the more I like it- it really clarifies my skin and I swear I look a bit brighter! If I feel it’s too strong for my skin in winter, I’ll check out the P50W, thanks for that tip!
      xx

    2. I have Rouge Terrybly Love Me Tender. Must. Buy. More. Specifically nudes and pinks. I loved the swatches in your vid. very helpful.

I am SUPER excited because in February, Terry de Gunzburg herself is doing my makeup!!! Holy cow it is the highlight of my life πŸ™‚ I plan to buy lots more of her lippies during my visit with her.

More about P50 – I have been using P50 and P50W for a year now and I simply cannot recommend it enough. It is truly my very favorite beauty product of ANYTHING I own. I have found that it is MARKEDLY improving the firmness and elasticity of my skin and diminishing fine lines. Or, more likely, it is exfoliating my skin so that my moisturizers can do their job properly. This is probably not a selling point for your own young skin Karima, but for your readership “of a certain age” πŸ™‚ it makes a very noticeable difference in the youthfulness of skin. I almost don’t even want to wear makeup anymore because my skin looks soooo good.

I also just noticed there are two “SJ”‘s commenting here! πŸ™‚ SJ’s of the world ban together for beauty!

      Thanks Karima!!

      1. Is By Terry Love Me Tender shimmery? I tend to avoid shimmer in my lip products because I think it emphasises my dryness πŸ™
I’m building a showcase of looks for my By Terry Rouge Terrybly’s, it is going to be a LOADED post! You’re meeting Terry?! That is incredible, you must report back on that!
I actually bought a bottle of the reformulated P50 for my aunty (45, suffers from cystic acne and first signs of aging) and I will actually post her experiences of the product in a blog post. I’m excited about that because, as you said, skincare reviews from a 23 year old may not apply to all my readers πŸ™‚
Two SJ’s?! What are the chances lol. Thanks for stopping by, I love hearing from you guys!
        xxkarima

  23. I just love Tailor Grey.It is my favourite paint pot. This and the mustard eyeshaow you showed on the crease line and is a great look.
Great stash you got now Karima! Take care!

  24. ALLLLLLLLLLL OF THE PRETTIES πŸ˜€ And yes I made it to the end (I’m made of sterner stuff) Really interested in the P50 and the Blanc de Chanel! πŸ™‚ xxx

    1. WOO! You are a trooper, I suspect that I put everyone else to sleep! I’ll be reviewing P50 in two months or so (just to confirm that I do love it). I’d love to do a review on the Le Blanc De Chanel but I just can’t seem to capture it’s beauty on camera so you guys will have to rely on my words πŸ™‚ x

  25. i LOVE the KGD spa water -i’ve been using that for years! i also really like first aid beauty’s ultra repair cream, and i got that caviar stick set too! πŸ™‚ and i like brow wiz too!

anyway you were funny and i actually watched the whole thing. poor adrian must’ve gotten tired of all the shopping lolol!! anyway, it seems like you had fun so that is a big YAY!

    1. The KGD spa water seems to perform much like Bioderma, I can’t really decipher a difference yet. It seems you and I have similar tastes!
The funny thing is: in New York, the convenience stores have pharmacy’s attached to them so we couldn’t even buy milk without me wandering off to the cosmetics section! Poor guy, thankfully he’s patient! x

  26. It’s my first time here and I have to say you’re really pretty. πŸ™‚ Anyway, would definitely love to pick up every item you have right there. Maybe I can do something about this really weird skin I have.

  27. Hi Karima! I loved your video, watched it twice! I was laughing out loud “no, I haven’t bought enough”. Anyway, I wondered what lipstick you were wearing in the video? Thanks!!

    1. Twice?! You’re awesome πŸ™‚ In this video I’m wearing By Terry Rouge Terrybly in Cupid Peony (actually the trickiest shade in the range for me, it has a white base and tends to gather, sadly). x

  28. Dear Karima,

I wish to ask your advice regarding Tom Ford brushes vs Hakuhodo brushes. Which are of highest quality? I know that TF are supposed to be manufactured by Hakuhodo but still which would you consider to be the best investment?

    Sincerely,

    M

  29. Hey there! I am Syndney and Adelaide bound in a couple of months (from California) and I was hoping you could recommend some beauty stores or brands I should check out for some serious haulage.

Thanks for taking the time to share your beauty frivols with us!

    -B

    1. Hey there,
My advice would be: do not do serious makeup haulage in Australia! We have a very similar range to the rest of the world except double the price. A few brands that are exclusive to Australia (but not affordable by US standards): Bloom Cosmetics, Australis Cosmetics, we have free standing Inglot stores (big markup) and free standing The Makeup Store’s.
Visit Darling Harbour and wineries instead πŸ˜‰ x

  30. Excellent video, as usual!! I’m looking forward to your Naked3 tutorial – as a fair-skined, medium blonde I think most of those tones may suit me (I didn’t buy the palette yet though). I’m also looking forward to some looks with the MAC eyeshadows you got. Thanks ofr posting all this info!

  31. Hi,
I’ve just found your blog recently and it’s already become one of my favourites! Love all your recommendations and tutorials. All the products look lovely, would really like to see a tutorial with the hourglass eyeshadow sticks πŸ™‚

    1. Welcome, Lindy!
I’m so pleased that you’re liking the blog πŸ™‚ Do you mean the By Terry or the Laura Mercier Eyeshadow Sticks? I don’t think Hourglass makes eyeshadow sticks. x

  32. Has no-one ever told you that you look like Spencer of Pretty Little Liars? but you are prettier πŸ™‚

I love your blog. Greetings from Spain.

    1. Hey Caroline!
I actually get told that I look like Spencer A LOT! I’m not sure I see it but she’s gorgeous, so thank you for the compliment! Greetings from Australia πŸ™‚ x

  33. So glad to see you back! I actually got quite a few things you got in NY as well recently such as Urban Decay’s naked palette and some hourglass products. I’d love to see the drugstore haul!

    1. Hi again, Sarah πŸ™‚
My Naked 3 post with Looks, Review and Swatches is now up! Check it out, might give you some inspiration on how to use yours πŸ˜€
      xx

  34. Karima,
I tried the CHANEL le blanc primer, it like a layer of pearl-like luminosity that glows subtly that brightens up the skin!
The only own-side is the bottle is not very convenient…..wish they have it with a pump…

    1. I have been using this as a base and then brush on the healthy glow N10 on it directly , or use it like a primer.
Will try the mix-in method. Any particular foundation you’ve tried with nice results?

  35. Hey Karima

Please, please, please do a tutorial with the Ombre Blackstars – I love eyeshadow sticks and would really like to see how you use them, plus I’ve been toying with the idea of buying Brown Perfection for a couple of months now and it might help me make a decision.

Love from (wet & miserable) England

    1. Hello Louise πŸ™‚
Definitely will try incorporate an Ombre Blackstar in a tutorial, Brown Perfection is probably my favourite because it has low-level shimmer (handy when you’re using it all over the lid + into the crease etc). Greetings from a boiling hot Australia πŸ™‚ x

  36. Watched the entire haul video and loved every minute. No, we can NEVER have enough makeup! I am dying to try the By Terry OmbrΓ© Blackstar shadow stick in Bronze Moon – thanks for your review.

  37. I know you said you’d wait until you’ve used it, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a review/COMPARISON of the TWO TYPES OF p50!!! And please list the ingredients!

    THANKS!

    1. I will do a detailed review on both πŸ™‚ My aunty is trialling the reformulated P50 and her skin is far more complex than mine so it will be an interesting experiment! x

  38. Just so you know, there are 3 P50s: P50, P50V, P50W (from strongest to weakest). I have the phenol-free P50V version. I had the 1970 version, but I just couldn’t stand the smell!! But it was amazing. I haven’t tried the phenol-free version yet. I’m excited to see what you think! Please do an updated skincare routine!

    1. Yep I saw the different versions in store. The original 1970 version definitely STANKS but I’m getting used to it. Otherwise, my skincare routine is identical to that described in my youtube videos πŸ™‚ x

  39. Hey Karima!
I am quite new to your blog, and you are already a favorite!
I love the haul! I want absolutely everything you bought πŸ˜€ Especially the byTerry foundation. Thanks for sharing! I hope I get a chance to see NY and shop there.
Lots of kisses from Bosnia! πŸ™‚

    1. Hey Senka! I will review the By Terry foundation soon πŸ™‚
Where abouts in Bosnia are you from? My family is from Bosanska Gradiska, I’ve driven around Bosnia a few times πŸ™‚
      xx

    2. Say whaaaat! Oh my God! EXITED! I knew it! The first time I saw you I taught: she could be from around here πŸ˜€ I am from Sanski Most, not far away from GradiΕ‘ka! Lets be friends! Please! Eto kad te molim! πŸ™‚ :*

      1. I know right?! You may be one of my only Bosnian viewers so very exciting πŸ˜€ I do believe I’ve been to Sanski Most πŸ™‚ We can absolutely be friends <3 xx

  40. Is beauty your career? Because this is my kind of haul and I am so curious as to what you do bc I need to switch careers, haha!

    1. Maybe I’ll do a first impressions tutorial with my drugstore products? Might be more interesting since I haven’t tried most of the stuff πŸ™‚ x

  41. I would love to see more info or a tutorial using the Chanel illuminating base. I am also curious as to what you think about the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders and the Tom Ford face brushes.

    Great video!

  42. I made it to the end! Woohoo! Actually I was gripped the whole way through πŸ™‚ Would you consider doing a tutorial using the ByTerry products? Don’t see many reviews and tutorials on this brand which is quite elusive. Thanks! Xx

    1. Hey Kitty! I was editing this video thinking “lord, I’m going to bore everyone to tears” so I’m glad you enjoyed it! I am a big By Terry fan so I’ll definitely incorporate them in a review! The lipstick showcase is coming along well and shouldn’t be much longer, too πŸ™‚ xx

    2. TheBeautyProfessor (US blog site) has reviewed most ByTerry products. BlackPanties also has a few good reviews of ByTerry (though they seem to be older, perhaps that blogger is “retiring”)

    1. Hey Christiana! I’m not sure I’ll get to do the drugstore haul because I haven’t tried most of the products so I couldn’t really be informative. I was thinking about doing a video for my blog, me trying out the products for the first time and letting you know my first impressions? Let me know if that sounds interesting to you. xx

  43. Hi Karima! It is about the most adorable thing the way you said “No, I had not.” in the Le Blanc de Chanel part. I had to rewind it 2x and I was laughing each time πŸ˜€ By the way, I love your videos and your blog! Keep posting, please! πŸ™‚
