  1. I loved this video! I don’t use eye creams either, and I just use my day moisturizer at night. I suspect it’s all a marketing ploy orchestrated by THE MAN. Nuxe’s lip balm saved my sunburnt lips two weeks ago and I didn’t have to suffer through a week of sensitive, peeling, tight feeling sad lips.

Also, I totally got the mandelic acid peel on your recommendation. I’ve been using it for two months now, and I love it so much!

    1. I personally think that a regular moisturiser around the eyes is fine, unless it causes milia or you have a seriously dry eye area. LOVE Nuxe and I’m so glad you love the Mandelic Acid Peel too! I still use it on occasion πŸ™‚ x

      1. Eye creams can prevent/lessen milia??? :O I actually suffer from (what I think is) pretty bad milia. It’s mostly under my eyes but i have a little on my eyelid as well. I take a hypodermic needle to them when I feel up to it, and end up with little bloody spots on my face for a day or two.
Do you think I should give eyecreams a shot?

      2. Hey Amy,
Just to clarify, sometimes creams (eye creams or regular face moisturisers) can cause milia. It’s trial and error, a dedicated eye cream is just as likely to exacerbate milia issues (in my experience). x

  2. The La Roche Posay Lipikar Syndet seems to be discontinued, please say it isn’t so! πŸ™ πŸ™ Anyway, I have been using the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser for a few years now, I love it but I know it needs some help when it comes to removing makeup. So let the hunt for Japanese grocery stores around Houston begin! My boyfriend is going to be so excited…! πŸ˜‰

    1. I take back what I said about the LRP Lipikar Syndet being discontinued!!! I found it on French cosmetics for less. YAY! Weird that the USA – LRP online store does not carry it.

      1. THANK GOD. Another commenter on youtube suggested it might be discontinued, which would be very sad πŸ™
Good luck to you boyfriend with the cleansing oil hunt πŸ˜‰ x

    1. It’s the BEST! I don’t think I’ve ever actually finished a lip balm, I lose interest or physically lose them lol. I’ve almost finished the Nuxe, testament to my love! x

  3. Hi Karima! You have the most gorgeous skin! What sunscreen do you use (I remember you said the japanese ones are better)? I haven’t found one that doesn’t feel greasy/clogging on my combination skin yet. Lots of love!

    1. Thanks Camila!
Currently I’m trying the Biore Perfect Face Milk. It’s quite alcohol heavy, which may be an issue if your skin is particularly sensitive to alcohol. xx

  4. Hi Karima! I know that you love the RBR for tightlining but I’m bit unsure which exact product it is from their range, could u please help me out? I checked the site and it mentions that the long lasting eye pencil (feline gaze) is unsafe for the tear/waterline area. So I’m lost if it’s the eye Kohl or….? Do you know if they perform the same? Would love to hear your recommendations on great eyeliners for the waterline and the norm.
    TIA!

Oh, enjoy your stay in London! X

    1. Hey Laura,
I like the Long Lasting Eye Pencil in Salome for tight lining. Personally, if a product doesn’t irritate my eyes then I will use it in the waterline, I consider the warning but if it works for me then I’ll use it. Use your best judgement πŸ™‚
The Eye Kohl is softer and more prone to smudging, so I like it best for smudgy looks.
      xx

  5. Hey Karima! I just started my invisalign treatment and I remember (from the Q&A video?) that you’re undergoing the treatment as well (or was) and I absolutely know how you feel now. It’s soooo unconfortable! Seriously. I’ve been wearing my first aligners for two days and I’m dying to take them off! Is it too early to be bitching about it? lol
I was a little disappointed with my treatment plan because the first *many* aligners are gonna have a little dent in the front teeth that kinda makes them look from a distance like they’re a bit shorter than my teeth and thus not completely invisible (did I explain this in a way you can understand?) and I’m also gonna need attachments, but at least those won’t be in the front teeth. Did you have similar problems?
    Enjoy your stay in Europe!

    1. Hey lena πŸ™‚
Yes, I’m using invisalign! The first aligner hurts the most, it gets better after that so persevere!
I have attachments on quite a few teeth (some at the front) and frankly, I don’t even notice them anymore and I’ve never had anyone point them out. Not a big deal.
The whole ordeal is much better than braces, for me!

  6. Great video, very informative thank you! Most interested in the Facial Radiance Pads. I get a few tiny balckhead riund the crevice of my nose sometimes in the summer, but the area is quite delicate for me as well as occasionally oily so they’re hard to treat, would the pads be good on those do you think?
Also, would you mind telling me a little how you use the Rose Mask yourself? Do you apply like a normal mask and wash off or put on an ultra thin layer as one would a moisturizer? I’m looking for something hydrating and soothing that won’t congest my skin which I find very difficult to find. It sounds like perhaps you have similar skin- and that you dislike the feel of heavy producton the skin so perhaps you can help. ALSO, would you be prepared to do a post on sunscreens at any point? Sorry to pepper you with 1827346483 questions, much love. Carla xx

    1. Hey Carla πŸ™‚
The FAB Radiance Pads are one of the more gentle exfoliants on my skin but it’s hard for me to predict how your skin will tolerate them (so personal).

Another very gentle exfoliant is the REN Glycolactic mask, it employs mainly fruit acids (too gentle for me nowadays but a good introduction to chemical exfoliants).

The Rose Mask I slather alone for long haul flights or very harsh weather. If randomly my skin is feeling a bit dry or I’ve overdone it with the chemical exfoliating, I’ll mix a dot of the mask with my regular moisturiser and I find it to be very soothing and hydrating.

Sunscreens are a controversial subject and my knowledge on ingredients is rusty. I’d wanna be an expert before I start making recommendations y’know? I am trialling a few at the moment, I’ll try report back on those soon.

      xx

  7. Great video Karima! I just purchased the First Aid Beauty pads because of your glowing review, but wanted to ask if you use them in the morning also? Many thanks πŸ™‚

  8. Hi Karima
I was just wondering if you knew the difference between the Fancl Cleansing Oil bottles? I am about to purchase one online and see there is a greeny blue bottle or a clear white frosted bottle ( like the one you show on your vlog) Really enjoy your you tube channel and blog =)

  9. Hi Karima!
I’ve been trying this double cleansing method after watching your videos and it works great for my skin.
Where can I find FANCL and La Roche Posay in Sydney though? Also, I read in the comments that Lipikar Syndet might be discontinued. Do you have another recommendation for fuss free gentle cleanser?
    Thanks!

    1. Hey there πŸ™‚
Fancl is tricky to find in person, so I purchase from sasa. La Roche Posay Lipikar Syndet can be purchased in Priceline and as far as I know, it is not being discontinued.
Currently, I’m loving the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip cleanser but it’s in an ENTIRELY different price range lol. Very gentle, though.
      xx

  10. Hi karima!
I was wondering if this skin care routine helps with spots or if you have any suggestions as my main aim is to eliminate any spots I have which is so hard! I love your videos btw too❀️ From Ellie x

    1. Hey Ellie,
What’s your current skincare routine and your skin type? Chemical exfoliants can help with congestion, if you’re in the US then the Stridex pads are a readily available and affordable option.
