I get quite a few requests about my skincare routine, here it is!

Over the past few years, my skin has changed from a typical teenage skintype (oily t-zone, occaisonal blemish) to a rather delicate, sensitive adult skin (thanks for those complex genes, mum!). Previously, I could use whatever products on my skin with no issue.
Nowadays, I’m sensitive to a lot of things.

Background on my skin:
Sensitive to sulfates and some essential oils. My skin only tolerates mild chemical exfoliants. Prone to redness and broken capillaries (especially around my nose and on my cheeks). Infrequent blemishes, perhaps one every two months or so. Overall, I would describe my skin as ‘thin’.

Morning routine:
Cleanse using La Roche Posay Lipikar Synde
tMoisturise using Dr Dennis Gross Hydra-pure oil free moisture
Apply makeup and whatnot.

Night Routine:
Remove makeup with cleansing oil (currently using Shu’s green one)
Light cleanse with LRP Lipikar Syndet
Moisturise with the Dr Dennis Gross Hydrapure oil free moisture
Chantecaille Jasmine and Lily healing mask on cheeks.

Occaisonally:
When I have any congestion or a clogged pore, I spot treat with MUAC’s (Makeup Artist’s Choice) BHA peel 15%. I dot on with a q-tip and rinse after a few minutes.
I also use a product called Eryacne on any blemishes. This is a RX product and a miracle worker on any hormonal spots. This does have an ethanol base, so I cant use it all over.

Why those products?
The LRP Lipikar Sydnet is actually a body wash- it was recommended to me by MakeUpAlley skincare board. It makes an amazing sensitive skin facewash. It does foam.
Dr Dennis Gross Hydapure oil free is my favourite moisturiser at the moment. It sinks in completely and doesn’t cause any congestion. I also think it helps the clarity of my skin- I am totally in love.
Cleansing oils are absolutely amazing as a whole. I’ve tried a few and each worked well. I can’t imagine trying to remove makeup in any other way.
Chantecaille Jasmine and Lily mask- I use this as a night cream on my more sensitive areas. I find that it completely eradicates any redness and my skin is clear and soft in the morning. I wouldnt recommend this for acne prones. I am pleasantly suprised- I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as i did!
Makeup Artist’s Choice is a great online store that sells chemical peels/exfoliants. Proceed carefully, these are salon grade peels. I’ve used a wide variety of their products (not so much anymore, due to my sensitive skin!)
