My take on the Victoria’s Secret makeup – neutral, glamorous and photographs beautifully. The eye is a glossy rose gold with feathery lashes paired with ultra luminous skin. A sneaky hair tutorial at the end, too ;) Hope you guys like it, this is what I’ll be wearing this NYE!

If you want to see more from Dick Page, he did a series of videos on the Shiseido channel, here is one.

  1. I love this look! It’s so soft, romantic and sophisticated. I usually prefer strong eye makeup but this is simply beautiful! I am definitely getting the Josie Maran eyeshadow.

The Koh Gen Do foundation looks amazing too! Is there a shade match for NC25-30?

  2. Karima, you gorgeous woman, you! What a lovely video, as always! :)

Thank you for always being so totally lovely that I feel I’m chatting with my dear chum and sharing giggles rather than a (lovely) near-stranger (because, you know, *I* feel like I know you a bit, haha!) and that is a special quality which you possess!

I must have gasped aloud when you mentioned burning you hand/arm with your curling iron – I’ve done it, too – ouch!

I’ve seen some such tools sold with a heat resistant glove one wears on the free hand to protect yourself whilst wrapping hair sections around that hot as lava iron! But for the majority that aren’t, there’s a relatively inexpensive solution: an oven glove!

No, not one of those large, puffy mitten types your grandma probably had (and maybe you still do?) or even the newer styles made of colourful, grippy silicone… but one that’s a fitted knit of high-heat-resistant materials (possibly silicone, but in some knit-fibrey-science-magic way?? OK, maybe not magic, maybe Kevlar) which allows enough dexterity to handle wrapping your hairs around that stick o’ lava!

    No BBQing yourself, ok?!

Wishing you a very happy New Year and wonderful 2015!! :)

    1. Hey Lisa :)

I actually have a hand glove but I never really burn my hand, it’s generally my forearm (do they have a heat resistant body suit? that would be better suited to me haha).

      Happy new year!
      x

  3. So beautiful!
I dreamed that I was almost out of Le blanc de Chanel. It was a nightmare. A makeup addicts nightmare.

I ordered rio de rose gold. Goooorgeous

  4. Bless you for this. Do you remember when, at the beginning of the VS fashion show in 2005, Gisele came stomping out of a giant present? That was the physical incarnation of my spirit animal.

  5. The cheekbones, why didn’t you accentuate them this time? Was it on purpose? Cheekbone police alert lol. Fabulous look, subscribed on Kayley Melissa, really helpful hairtutorial. Wish you a magical, healthy and fabulous 2015!

  6. Those eyes are absolutely gorgeous and I think I don`t have cahsmere!! Oh noes!

Btw, that trick for the hair is great! I would use one of those hooked hair elastics (I love them as they do not damage hair as much)

      1. A bit late I know, but the latest news I had was that MUS was completely redoing their packaging and changing some formulas and products, including the brushes. We’ll see what survives the great purge!
